Humanitini: Conversations on Mt. Pleasant Street
Celebrate Mt. Pleasant Street with a Humanitini at Don Juan Restaurant, Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
This lively program will celebrate historic Mt. Pleasant Street, the heart of the Mt. Pleasant community and its remarkable people, unique places and home to one of the city’s most diverse populations. This celebration will give all a glimpse into the community’s past and highlight the many treasures that can be found today in this vibrant historic community.
The panel will feature Alberto Ferrufino owner of Don Juan Restaurant and Pedro Aviles, founder of Aviles Associates, LLC. Other panelists will be added. Continue to check back for updates about the celebration of this year’s Great Street!
The Humanitini program series is our signature, after-work, think and drink program that attracts and engages Washingtonians to discuss issues, ideas, and culture. The Humanities Council of Washington, DC will present its popular Conversations on Great Streets program where we recognize the importance of Mt. Pleasant Street to residents of the neighborhood, the surrounding communities and the city at-large.
