Latin American singer Jorge Anaya helped gather these poems that came from the voices of significant political figures. The poems, reflections on Latin American life, traditions and culture, are recited to the melody of a classical guitar.

1992 Noble Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchú Tum's poems, "Mi tierra" and "Patria negada", are recited in Spanish by Darling Hernandez.

Poems "América en el idioma de la memoria" and "Y Dios me hizo mujer" by Gioconda Belli's are recited in Spanish by Carla Nakatani.

Mario Benedetti poems, "Por qué cantamos" and "Cotidiana I," are recited in Spanish by Astrid Brinck.

Guillermo Aguirre y Fierro's poem called "Brindis del bohemia" is recited in Spanish by Luis Manquique.
