In April we awarded $54,000 in grant funding for 17 exciting projects that will take place throughout the city in 2016. DC Emancipation Day to be Marked by Exhibits, Scholar Talks, Poetry Readings and more The Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital will present its second annual Benjamin Drummond Emancipation Day Celebration from April 15-17.
