DATE/LOCATION CHANGE! DC Community Heritage Grant Workshop

The DC Community Heritage Project grant workshop scheduled for Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Tenleytown Library has been moved. It will now take place on Wednesday, December 20, 2018 at the Chevy Chase Library. This year’s DCCHP grant will be awarded for projects that document the history of 1968 in Washington, including the riots and the activism and community organizing that followed. Help us preserve the unique stories of Washington, DC residents! This opportunity provides financial and capacity building resources to community organizations and individuals (“partners”) interested in conducting oral history projects. Potential projects may focus on: neighborhoods, social organizations, political history, labor, faith-based groups, cultural trends, historic events, or other themes that lend themselves to oral history as a tool for research and preservation.
