HumanitiesDC Expands Role in Metro Area with


  Washington, DC – April 1, 2017 – Effective April 1, 2017, the Humanities Council of Washington, DC (HumanitiesDC) will manage the popular website and job bank.  As the National Endowment for the Humanities state council for the District of Columbia, HumanitiesDC provides diverse programming District-wide, supporting local humanities programs. Launched in 2008 by CultureCapital, digitally promotes, engages and informs the public of performing arts, visual arts and educational events of over 250 arts presenters through metropolitan DC.

Applications Due May 12th for the DC Community Heritage Project


The DC Community Heritage Project (DCCHP) is local history at the grassroots level, placing control of the narrative in the hands of the people who create it. Designed to provide support to community leaders interested in preserving the history of their neighborhoods, DCCHP empowers local Washingtonians to take the lead on preserving, sharing, and celebrating the collective memory of their communities.
